DESCRIPTION
The Fuel Pump Solenoid, also known as part number 5304951, is an electronic valve that controls the flow of fuel to the engine. It is commonly found in diesel trucks and works by receiving a signal from the engine control module (ECM) to open or close the fuel flow. When the solenoid receives a signal, it lifts a plunger allowing fuel to pass through and enter the high-pressure pump, which then delivers it to the injectors. The solenoid plays an important role in regulating fuel pressure and ensuring proper combustion in the engine. A faulty solenoid can result in poor performance or even cause damage to other components of the fuel system.
