DESCRIPTION
A fuel pump governor shim is a thin piece of material, usually made of metal, that is placed between the fuel pump and the engine block. Its purpose is to adjust the distance between the two components and regulate the speed at which fuel is delivered to the engine. By changing the thickness of the shim, mechanics can fine-tune the fuel flow rate and achieve optimal engine performance. This truck component plays a crucial role in maintaining proper fuel pressure and preventing engine damage from excessive or insufficient fuel delivery.
