DESCRIPTION
The Fuel Injection Pump, with a part number of 3915882, is a vital component in diesel engines. Its primary function is to deliver fuel under high pressure to the fuel injectors. It receives low-pressure fuel from the fuel tank and compresses it to a high pressure that ranges between 15,000 and 30,000 psi. The pump has an internal camshaft that drives a set of plungers which pressurize the fuel. This pressurized fuel then flows through the high-pressure lines and into each injector. The Fuel Injection Pump's performance affects engine power output and emissions, making it a critical component in diesel engine performance.
