Fuel Injection Pump: The fuel injection pump, part number 3931537RX, is a critical component in a diesel truck's engine system. Its primary function is to deliver the precise amount of fuel required for combustion into each cylinder at the right time. This pump draws fuel from the tank and pressurizes it to a level needed for injection. The timing of injection is critical for proper engine performance, so this pump uses rotating plungers and camshafts to ensure precise timing. A malfunctioning fuel injection pump can lead to poor engine performance, decreased power output, and increased emissions.
