Fuel Injection Pump (part number 3935194) is a component of a diesel engine that delivers fuel to the engine's cylinders at the proper time and in the correct amount. It is responsible for accurately metering and pressurizing diesel fuel, which is then delivered to each cylinder through individual fuel lines. The pump uses a high-pressure mechanical piston or plunger to create pressure, which forces the fuel through small orifices and into the engine. Modern diesel engines use electronically controlled injection pumps that adjust timing and quantity based on various sensor inputs, resulting in improved efficiency and reduced emissions.
