Fuel Injection Pump
The Fuel Injection Pump, also known as a diesel injection pump, is a component of the fuel system in diesel engines. The pump is responsible for delivering fuel from the fuel tank to the engine cylinders at high pressure. It is driven by the engine and consists of a rotor, camshaft, and plunger. The rotor and plunger work together to create pressure in the fuel line which then distributes fuel to each cylinder at the correct time for combustion. Part Number 3969377 refers to a specific type of Fuel Injection Pump used in certain models of trucks.
