DESCRIPTION
The Lubricant Oil Bypass Gasket, also known as part number 111866, is a small but crucial component of a truck's lubrication system. This gasket is typically made of rubber or silicone and is designed to create a seal between the bypass valve and the engine block. The bypass valve is responsible for diverting oil away from the oil filter when it becomes clogged, ensuring that oil continues to flow through the engine even when the filter needs to be replaced. The Lubricant Oil Bypass Gasket plays an important role in maintaining this function by preventing oil from leaking out of the bypass valve and into other parts of the engine. Without this gasket, a truck's lubrication system could suffer from reduced performance or even failure due to leaks or improper oil flow.
