DESCRIPTION
The gauge contact point, also known as part number 3823505, is a crucial component in truck engines that measures the level of fluids such as oil and fuel. It consists of a metal rod with a sharp tip that is designed to accurately detect the fluid level by touching its surface. The gauge contact point is mounted on a float that moves up and down with the fluid level, allowing it to accurately measure changes in volume. This data is then transmitted to the dashboard through an electrical signal which displays the fluid levels on the truck's gauges. Without accurate readings from this component, drivers would have difficulty monitoring their engine's health and performance.
