DESCRIPTION
A feeler gauge is a precision tool used to measure the gap or clearance between two surfaces. The 4919473 feeler gauge, commonly used in trucks, consists of a set of narrow, flat blades of various thicknesses, each marked with its measurement in either inches or millimeters. These blades are inserted into the gap between two surfaces and then measured to determine the distance between them. Feeler gauges are often used in engine work to measure valve clearances and other critical tolerances. They can also be used for adjusting brakes, carburetors and other mechanical components where precise measurements are required.
