DESCRIPTION
The Gauge Contact Point, also known as part number 5296502, is a truck component responsible for measuring and transmitting information about the fuel level, oil pressure, or other fluid levels to the dashboard display. It typically consists of a metal arm that moves up and down with changes in fluid level and is connected to an electrical contact point. As the arm moves, it makes contact with different points on a resistor strip, which then sends an electrical signal to the dashboard gauge. This allows drivers to monitor important fluid levels while operating their truck.
