DESCRIPTION
A Ring Gauge, also known as a Snap Gauge or Go/No-Go Gauge, is a precision measuring tool used to verify the diameter of cylindrical objects. The Ring Gauge is a two-piece tool consisting of an internal "Go" ring and an external "No-Go" ring. The Go ring has a diameter equal to the maximum acceptable size for the part being measured, while the No-Go ring has a diameter slightly smaller than the minimum acceptable size. To use, the operator places the part between the two rings and checks if it fits into the Go but not into the No-Go. This ensures that parts are manufactured within tolerances and meet quality standards. Part number ST1292 refers to a specific model or size of Ring Gauge used in truck component manufacturing.
