DESCRIPTION
The Gear Housing (part number 2884797) is a component of a truck's transmission system that encloses and protects the gears within it. It is typically made of aluminum or cast iron and is bolted to the transmission case. The gear housing contains the gear train, which consists of various gears, shafts, and bearings that transmit power from the engine to the wheels.
