DESCRIPTION
The Gear Cover Plate, also known as the inspection cover, is a metal plate located on the side of the transmission housing. It provides access to the gears and other internal components inside the transmission. The cover is typically held in place by several bolts and may have a gasket to prevent leaks. In order to inspect or service the transmission, this cover must be removed. The Gear Cover Plate is an important part of any truck's transmission system, as it allows for easy access to critical components during maintenance and repair procedures.
