DESCRIPTION
The Idler Gear (part number 3200371) is an essential component of a truck's engine. As the name suggests, it is responsible for idling the engine by rotating at a slower speed than the crankshaft. The gear acts as a buffer between the crankshaft and camshaft, ensuring that they remain synchronized while reducing vibrations and noise generated by the engine. It is made of durable materials such as hardened steel or aluminum to withstand high loads and resist wear over time.
