DESCRIPTION
The Gear Cover, also known as part number 3684274, is a component in a truck that covers and protects the gears of the transmission. It is typically made of metal or plastic and is located on the exterior of the transmission housing. The gear cover helps to prevent dirt, debris, and other contaminants from entering the transmission and causing damage to its internal components. In addition, it helps to keep lubricants in place by preventing leaks. The gear cover can be removed for maintenance or repair purposes, but it must be properly sealed when reinstalled to ensure proper function of the transmission.
