DESCRIPTION
The Idler Gear, also known as part number 3690446, is a component found in the engine of a truck. It is responsible for maintaining proper timing between the camshaft and crankshaft. The gear itself is driven by the timing chain and rotates on a stationary shaft. As it turns, it helps to control the movement of the camshaft by providing tension to the chain.
