DESCRIPTION
The Gear Housing (part number 3958304) is a component of a truck's transmission system. It is a metal casing that encloses the gears and bearings of the transmission, protecting them from external damage and preventing lubricating oil from leaking out. The gear housing also serves as a mounting point for other transmission components such as the shift linkage, clutch mechanism, and torque converter.
