DESCRIPTION
A Gear Retainer, also known as a Gear Lock Ring or a Gear Snap Ring, is a small metal component that is used to hold gears in place within the transmission housing of a truck. The retainer fits around the gear and snaps into a groove on the shaft of the transmission. This prevents the gear from sliding off of its shaft during operation and ensures that it remains in proper alignment with other gears. The Gear Retainer is designed to withstand high levels of stress and wear, making it an important component in maintaining the overall durability and reliability of your truck's transmission system.
