DESCRIPTION
The Gear Housing, also known as the transmission case, is a protective metal casing that encloses the gears and other internal components of a truck's transmission system. The part number for this component is 4327431. The gear housing helps to prevent debris and dirt from entering the transmission and maintains proper lubrication to ensure smooth gear shifting. It also provides a stable mounting point for the transmission to be attached to other truck components. In addition, some gear housings may be designed with additional cooling features such as fins or cooling tubes to help dissipate heat generated by the moving parts inside.
