DESCRIPTION
A Power Takeoff (PTO) Gear, also known as a PTO shaft, is a mechanical component attached to the transmission of a truck that transfers power to auxiliary equipment such as hydraulic pumps or generators. The PTO Gear uses the rotation of the transmission output shaft to generate energy, which is then transferred through a driveshaft to the connected equipment. This allows trucks with PTO Gears to power additional functions without requiring an external power source. The 4983990 model is a specific type of PTO Gear used in certain truck models and can be identified by its unique part number.
