DESCRIPTION
The Governor Tube, also known as part number 103008, is a component found in diesel engines that helps regulate the engine's speed. It works by controlling the amount of fuel injection to the engine based on the engine's RPMs. The governor tube is typically made of metal and connects to both the fuel injection pump and the throttle control linkage. As the engine speeds up or slows down, the governor tube adjusts accordingly to ensure proper fuel delivery and maintain a consistent speed. Without a functioning governor tube, an engine may experience erratic performance or even stall out completely.
