DESCRIPTION
The Governor Plunger (part number BM40951) is a small but crucial component found in diesel engines. It works with the fuel injection system to regulate the engine's speed by controlling the amount of fuel delivered to the injectors. The plunger moves up and down within the governor housing, responding to changes in engine load and maintaining a constant RPM. A malfunctioning governor plunger can cause erratic engine performance, such as surging or stalling, and should be replaced promptly for optimal vehicle operation.
