DESCRIPTION
The Governor Plunger is a component found in diesel engines that controls the fuel delivery to the engine's cylinders. It is a small, cylindrical part with a spring-loaded plunger that regulates the amount of fuel supplied to the injectors. The governor plunger works in conjunction with other engine components, including the fuel pump and throttle linkage, to ensure optimal engine performance and efficiency. When the engine speed increases, the governor plunger moves outward against its spring tension, which restricts fuel flow and keeps the engine from over-revving. Conversely, when engine speed decreases, the plunger moves inward and allows more fuel into the cylinders for increased power output. Proper maintenance of this part ensures that your diesel truck runs smoothly and efficiently.
