DESCRIPTION
The Governor Plunger, also known as the GP, is a crucial part in the engine of a truck. Its primary function is to regulate the speed of the engine by controlling the amount of fuel that enters it. The plunger works by adjusting a valve that restricts or allows fuel flow to maintain constant RPMs while driving. It is located in the fuel injection pump and operates under high pressure, ensuring precise fuel delivery at all times. A malfunctioning governor plunger can cause engine performance issues such as stalling or surging and should be replaced immediately for optimal vehicle operation.
