DESCRIPTION
The governor weight, also known as part number 146437, is a component of the fuel system in a truck engine. It is responsible for regulating the amount of fuel that enters the engine by controlling the speed of the fuel pump. The governor weight works by using centrifugal force to move outward as engine speed increases, which in turn moves a lever that controls the position of a valve in the fuel pump. This allows for precise control over engine speed and prevents over-revving or stalling. The governor weight is an essential component for maintaining proper engine performance and efficiency in any truck.
