DESCRIPTION
A Centering Guide, also known as a Centering Sleeve, is a truck component that helps to align the transmission input shaft with the clutch disc during installation. This part is commonly used in heavy-duty trucks and can be found in manual transmissions. The Centering Guide is typically made of high-grade steel or aluminum and has a precision fit to ensure accurate alignment. It slides over the transmission input shaft and fits into the center hole of the clutch disc, guiding it into place during installation. Without this part, the clutch disc may not be aligned properly with the transmission input shaft which could cause premature wear or failure of both components.
