DESCRIPTION
A Heat Shield, also known as a thermal shield or heat insulator, is a component designed to protect other parts of a vehicle from the heat generated by the engine or exhaust system. Made from materials such as aluminum, stainless steel or ceramic, it is mounted in strategic locations to prevent heat damage and reduce underhood temperatures. The Heat Shield acts as a barrier that reflects and dissipates heat away from sensitive components like wiring harnesses, fuel lines and brake systems. It helps increase the lifespan of these parts by preventing them from overheating and reduces the risk of fire hazards. The 4334967 Heat Shield is a specific part number used by manufacturers for replacement purposes.
