Injector Plunger Link:
The Injector Plunger Link is a crucial component in diesel engines, responsible for connecting the injector plunger to the camshaft. It functions by transferring the force from the camshaft to the injector plunger, causing fuel to be injected into the combustion chamber of the engine. Without this link, fuel injection would not be possible, leading to engine failure. Part Number 178096 is a specific part used in certain types of diesel engines and should be replaced if it becomes worn or damaged.
