DESCRIPTION
The Doser Injector (part number 5613552) is a component of modern diesel engines that is responsible for injecting small amounts of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) into the exhaust stream. This injection process helps to reduce harmful emissions and meet emission regulations. The Doser Injector operates in conjunction with the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) system, which includes a DEF tank, pump, injector, and control module. The injector takes DEF from the tank and injects it into the exhaust stream before it enters the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). The amount of DEF injected is controlled by the engine's Electronic Control Module (ECM), which monitors various sensors to determine how much DEF is needed. The Doser Injector plays a vital role in reducing harmful emissions while improving engine performance and fuel efficiency.
