DESCRIPTION
The Starter Motor is an electric motor that initiates the engine's operation by rotating the crankshaft. The Starter Motor is connected to the battery and ignition switch, which sends a signal to activate the motor when the key is turned. The motor turns a small gear called a pinion, which meshes with the engine's flywheel and rotates it to start combustion. Once the engine starts, the Starter Motor disengages from the flywheel and stops rotating. If your vehicle struggles or fails to start, it could indicate an issue with your Starter Motor.
