DESCRIPTION
The Starter Motor, also known as the Cranking Motor, is an electric motor that is responsible for starting the engine of a vehicle. It receives electrical power from the battery and uses it to turn the engine's flywheel, which in turn starts the combustion process. The Starter Motor is typically located near the bottom of the engine block and is connected to the flywheel via a small gear called a pinion. When the ignition key is turned, an electrical signal is sent to a solenoid that engages the pinion with the flywheel and activates the Starter Motor. Once it has started turning, it continues to run until either the engine starts or a safety mechanism disengages it. The Starter Motor is essential for any vehicle with an internal combustion engine as it provides initial motion to start up all other systems in your truck.
