DESCRIPTION
The Starter Motor (5367772RX) is an essential component of a truck's engine system that initiates the process of combustion. It works by turning the engine flywheel, which in turn rotates the crankshaft and starts the engine. The starter motor consists of several parts, including a solenoid, armature, and brushes. When the ignition key is turned on, an electric current flows through the solenoid and engages the starter gear with the flywheel. The armature then spins rapidly, powered by electricity from the battery via brushes that make contact with it. Once started, the truck's alternator takes over to provide power to run vehicle systems and keep the battery charged. A malfunctioning starter motor can cause various issues including slow or no start at all; therefore regular maintenance is necessary for optimal performance.
