DESCRIPTION
A Heavy Hex Nut, also known as a hexagon nut, is a type of fastener that has six sides and is used to secure bolts, screws or studs in mechanical applications. The Heavy Hex Nut has a larger diameter than regular hex nuts and provides a greater bearing surface area which makes it ideal for use in heavy-duty applications. Its increased thickness also provides improved strength and durability. Part Number S200 specifically refers to a heavy hex nut with dimensions that conform to the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) standards for coarse thread bolts.
