DESCRIPTION
A hexagon castle nut is a type of fastener used to secure components in a truck's suspension system. The nut has six sides, each with a flat surface for gripping with a wrench or pliers. The top of the nut is shaped like a castle turret, with notches cut into it that allow for insertion of a cotter pin to prevent the nut from loosening. This design provides added security against vibration and other sources of mechanical stress that can cause nuts to work loose over time.
