DESCRIPTION
An oil slinger, also known as a oil baffle or deflector, is a small metal disc that is installed between the engine block and the timing gear or crankshaft to help prevent oil from leaking out of the engine. The slinger spins with the crankshaft, creating a centrifugal force that helps to distribute oil evenly throughout the engine. Additionally, it helps to keep excess oil away from other components such as the timing belt or main seal. The part number for this component is 3521732.
