DESCRIPTION
The Oil Filter Cooler Head (Part Number: 4386725) is a component of the lubrication system in a truck's engine. It is located at the base of the oil filter and serves to cool the engine oil as it circulates through the filter. The cooler head is designed with a series of fins or tubes that allow air to flow over them, dissipating heat from the oil. This helps to maintain proper engine operating temperature and extends the life of both the oil and engine components. The cooler head also contains an anti-drainback valve, which prevents oil from draining out of the filter when the engine is turned off, ensuring that fresh oil is immediately available on start-up.
