DESCRIPTION
An oil seal, also known as a shaft seal, is a component used to prevent leaks of fluids such as oil or grease from moving mechanical parts. The 4945960 oil seal is a specific type of seal designed to fit a particular truck model and part number. This seal is typically made of rubber or other flexible materials and is installed around the outside of a rotating shaft, creating a barrier between the rotating shaft and the stationary housing. Over time, seals can wear out and become damaged, causing leaks that can lead to engine damage if left unaddressed.
