DESCRIPTION
The Idle Spring Plunger, identified by the part number 141626, is a component of a truck's idle system. It is a small cylindrical piece that is inserted into the idle control solenoid and acts as a spring-loaded valve to regulate airflow at idle. When the engine is in idle mode, the plunger compresses against the spring and allows air to pass through. As soon as the accelerator pedal is pressed, it releases and closes off air flow, allowing fuel to enter and ignite in the combustion chamber. This process helps maintain proper engine performance during idling periods.
