DESCRIPTION
The crankshaft pulley (part number 218708) is a component of the engine that connects to the crankshaft via a bolt and serves to transfer power from the engine to other systems or accessories. As the crankshaft rotates, it turns the pulley which then drives various belts such as the alternator, power steering, and air conditioning belts. The pulley is typically made of metal or plastic and may have one or multiple grooves to accommodate different belts. A damaged or worn out crankshaft pulley can cause issues with belt alignment and tension, resulting in decreased performance or even complete failure of certain systems.
