DESCRIPTION
The Doser Injector (part number 2871878) is a component of a truck's Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system. It is responsible for injecting diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) into the exhaust stream to reduce harmful emissions. The doser injector works in tandem with the DEF dosing valve and controller to accurately measure and distribute the correct amount of DEF based on engine load, temperature, and other factors. This ensures optimal performance of the SCR system and compliance with emissions regulations. The doser injector is typically located near the outlet of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) in the exhaust system.
