DESCRIPTION
The Catalyst Module, also known as Part Number 2880460, is a crucial component of a truck's exhaust system. It contains a ceramic substrate coated with precious metals that help to convert harmful gases into less harmful ones. The catalyst module works by facilitating a chemical reaction in which carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons are oxidized into carbon dioxide and water vapor, while nitrogen oxides are reduced to nitrogen and oxygen. This process helps to reduce emissions from the truck's engine and improve its overall environmental performance.
