Fluorescent Oil Tracer (Part Number: 3376891)
A fluorescent oil tracer is a specialized dye that is added to engine oil to aid in the detection of leaks. When exposed to ultraviolet light, the tracer glows brightly, making it easy for mechanics to pinpoint the source of any leaks. This can save time and money by allowing for quick repairs before they become more serious issues. The tracer works by mixing with the engine oil and flowing through the system until it reaches a leak point where it will accumulate and become visible under UV light. Fluorescent oil tracers are commonly used in heavy-duty trucks and other large equipment.
