DESCRIPTION
The Centinel Kit, identified by part number 3800862, is an optional feature available for certain diesel trucks. This system is designed to extend the life of the engine by reducing wear and tear caused by cold starts. The kit includes a control module that monitors the engine's coolant temperature and oil pressure. If the temperature is too low or the pressure is too high, the system will activate an electric heater in the oil pan to warm up the engine oil before starting. This helps prevent damage to critical engine components due to excessive friction during startup. The Centinel Kit can be a valuable addition for those who frequently operate their diesel truck in cold weather conditions or for extended periods of time without allowing sufficient warm-up time.
