DESCRIPTION
A piston kit is a component of an internal combustion engine that consists of a piston, piston rings, and wrist pin. The piston is the cylindrical part that moves up and down inside the cylinder bore. It is connected to the connecting rod via the wrist pin (also called piston pin or gudgeon pin) which allows it to pivot as it moves up and down. The piston rings are circular metal rings that fit around the circumference of the piston and create a seal between it and the cylinder wall to prevent combustion gases from escaping. The 3803816 is simply a part number assigned to a specific type of piston kit for trucks. Piston kits are essential components for internal combustion engines as they help in producing power by converting fuel into mechanical energy through controlled explosions within cylinders.
