DESCRIPTION
A piston kit is a set of components that includes the piston, piston rings, and wrist pin used in internal combustion engines. The piston is the cylindrical component that moves up and down inside the engine cylinder, driven by the force of expanding gases produced during combustion. The piston rings seal the gap between the piston and cylinder wall to prevent gas leakage and oil consumption while maintaining compression. The wrist pin connects the piston to the connecting rod, transmitting motion from the reciprocating motion of the piston to a rotational motion at the crankshaft. A piston kit such as part number 3803828 is designed for specific engine models and can be used as a replacement for damaged or worn-out parts during engine rebuilds or repairs.
