DESCRIPTION
The CELECT Plus Engine Brake Retarder Expander (part number 3824780) is a component used in heavy-duty trucks to assist with braking. Specifically, this expander works in conjunction with the engine brake and retarder systems to provide additional stopping power. When the driver applies the brakes, the CELECT Plus Engine Brake Retarder Expander opens a valve that allows engine exhaust gases to enter the expander chamber. As these gases expand, they produce a braking force that helps slow down the vehicle. This component is designed for use with Cummins engines and has been rigorously tested for durability and reliability in tough operating conditions.
