DESCRIPTION
A PDC Kit, also known as a Park Distance Control Kit, is a set of sensors and modules that enable a truck to detect objects in its vicinity while parking. The kit includes four ultrasonic sensors that are installed on the front and rear bumpers of the vehicle. These sensors emit high-frequency sound waves that bounce off obstacles and return to the module, which calculates the distance between the truck and object. This information is then relayed to the driver through an audible warning signal or visual display on the dashboard. The PDC kit helps drivers park safely by providing them with real-time feedback about their proximity to other vehicles or objects. It is commonly found in modern trucks as a standard or optional feature for increased safety and convenience while driving.
