DESCRIPTION
The Catalyst Module, also known as a catalytic converter, is an emission control device in a truck's exhaust system. It reduces harmful pollutants such as carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides into less harmful substances before they are released into the atmosphere. The Catalyst Module is made up of a ceramic or metallic core coated with precious metals such as platinum, palladium, and rhodium. When hot exhaust gases pass through the core, chemical reactions occur that convert the pollutants into water vapor and carbon dioxide. The Catalyst Module is an essential component for meeting emissions regulations and ensuring cleaner air quality.
