DESCRIPTION
The Nitrogen Oxide Sensor, part number 5295473, is a component of the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system used in Cummins® diesel engines. It measures the amount of nitrogen oxide (NOx) in the exhaust gases and sends this information to the engine control module (ECM). The ECM then adjusts the amount of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) injected into the exhaust stream to reduce the NOx emissions.
