DESCRIPTION
A Cylinder Kit (part number 5579090) is a component of a truck engine that consists of the cylinder block, pistons, piston rings, and connecting rods. The cylinder block is the main structural component that houses the cylinders where combustion takes place. The pistons move up and down within the cylinders to convert fuel into energy that powers the vehicle. Piston rings help to seal the combustion chamber and prevent oil from entering. Connecting rods connect the pistons to the crankshaft, which converts linear motion into rotational motion. A cylinder kit is typically used when an engine has suffered significant damage or wear and requires a complete rebuild of its internal components for optimal performance.
